Thanks to the philanthropy of two local families, Princeton Massachusetts will see a new field house at Krashes Recreation Area. Edwin B. Carlson, president of E.B. Carlson marketing, and his wife Kathleen Sweeney have partnered with Theodore B. and Kim M. Goodnow to generously finance the building of a fully equipped 20 by 30 foot, two story field house.
The field house will be constructed at the Krashes Recreation Area which was developed several years ago by a generous 17 acre land donation by David and Barbara Krashes in conjunction with a $500,000 fundraising effort led by Mr. Carlson. The new field house is scheduled to be completed in mid – August and will be named the Everett Needham Field House in honor of a relative of the Goodnows who served as superintendent of the Wachusett Mountain State Reservation from 1908 to 1947.
